Day 1 Report: Missing Penguin from Room 1

Observations:

Mrs. Laguna's wooden penguin is missing. A ransom note was found demanding that she hand over a roll of tickets.
Mrs. Laguna's hand writing matches some of the letters, such as the '!', 'o', 't', and 'e'. Mr. Beil had told some students that he had founded the anti-penguin society.

Background Information

Mr. Hood and Mr. Beil both had a 'no penguin' sign.

Suspects are: Mr. Hood, Mr. Beil, Mrs. Laguna

Day 2 Report: Penguin was found, but injured



Observations:

Results for testing the different pens/markers:
H: Greenish Blue K: Plain Black C: Blue mixed with orange Mrs.L: Greyish Brown Mr.L: Light Blue color with a little purple R: Greenish Blue mixed with a Redish Pink B: Blue mixed with a greenish yellow. Note: Blue pink purple and yellow
the liquid is clear and does had an odor.

Background Information

The ransom note was written in black pen/marker by a mystery person. Mr. Beil Mr.Hood, and Mrs. Laguna are prime suspects.

Inferences or Hypothesis


Mrs Laguna is still a suspect, the same with the others until the actual note is tested.

Data

the penguin was found outside the office with a mysterious liquid in a flask and with a strange cup that matches Mrs. Laguna's cups in her classroom. The density was 1.1 grams.

Heating curb of the mysterious liquid.

Data

Liquid A boiled and evaporated at 79 degrees C, liquid B boiled and evaporated from 80-90 degrees C, and liquid C boiled and evaporated from 90-99 degrees C.

Inferences or Hypothesis

I believe that both Mrs. Cravener and Mrs. Laguna had a hand in kidnapping the penguin, possibly trying to frame another teacher. Or trying to pull a prank on the class.

Tests Performed

Flammability test, density test on the three new mysterious liquids, and a redo on the original liquid's density.

Data

we have found that liquid A has a density of .795 grams and is flammable. Liquid B has a density of .89 grams and is flammable. Liquid C has a density of .97 grams and is not flammable. The original liquid has a density of .915 grams.
